Return to Sport Rehab in Tyler, TX

Get Back in the Game with Confidence.

Getting out of pain is only part of returning to sport. Athletes need the strength, mobility, power, control, and confidence to handle the demands of practice and competition.

At Lonestar Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, we bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance with individualized training designed around your injury, your sport, and the demands you need to return to.

Common Questions About Return to Sport

When Am I Ready to Return to Sport?

Return to sport should be based on more than time since an injury or surgery. We look at your movement, strength, function, symptoms, and ability to perform the specific demands of your sport before progressing you back to competition.

What Does Return to Sport Rehab Include?

Your program may include progressive strength training, jumping, landing, running, agility, change of direction, balance, and sport specific activities based on your individual needs.

Do I Need Return to Sport Rehab if I Am Pain Free?

Possibly. Being pain free does not necessarily mean your body is ready for full speed practice or competition. Strength, power, control, endurance, and confidence may still need to be restored before returning to higher level activity.

Is Return to Sport Only for Competitive Athletes?

No. We work with athletes of different ages and ability levels. Whether your goal is returning to a school team, recreational league, competitive sport, or simply an active lifestyle, your rehabilitation is built around what you need to do.
