Get Back to Life Without Back Pain Holding You Back

Back pain can make even the simplest parts of your day feel difficult. Whether it’s keeping you from working, exercising, sleeping comfortably, or doing the things you enjoy, you deserve more than simply learning to live with it.

At Lonestar Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, we take the time to understand your pain, how it affects your life, and what you want to get back to doing. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will identify the factors contributing to your symptoms and create an individualized plan to help you move better, feel stronger, and return to the life you enjoy.

Understanding Your Back Pain

Your back is designed to move, support your body, and handle the demands of everyday life. Back pain may begin suddenly after an injury or develop gradually over time, and it can affect everything from sitting and sleeping to lifting, working, exercising, and enjoying the activities you love.

Because back pain can have many contributing factors, we look beyond where you hurt. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will assess your mobility, strength, movement, and neurologic function when appropriate to better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and determine the right approach for you.

New Patient Information

Common Back Pain Conditions

Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain can make sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and even simple daily activities difficult. We identify the factors affecting your movement and build a plan to help you move more comfortably and confidently.

Sciatica

Sciatica can cause pain, numbness, tingling, or other symptoms that travel from your lower back into your buttock or leg. We evaluate your movement and neurologic function to determine the appropriate approach for your symptoms.

Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis can contribute to back or leg symptoms that make prolonged standing and walking more difficult. Physical therapy can help improve mobility, strength, and your ability to stay active.

Disc Related Back Pain

Disc related conditions can contribute to back pain and, in some cases, symptoms that travel into the leg. Your treatment is based on how your symptoms respond to movement and your individual examination findings.
